How to attach a timing transponder

QCR races are chip timed. A wire laid across the road receives data from the transponder so be careful to attach it securely and correctly.
You'll need to hand over some ID to receive a transponder at registration. Please return it promptly after racing and remember to collect your ID.

Use zip ties to securely fasten the transponder at the bottom of either fork.

Cut off excess zip tie with cable cutters for neatness and to prevent interference with spokes.

Be careful not to loop the zip ties around a spoke

You may not get a time if the transponder is higher up the fork

You definitely won't get a time if it is attached to your bars
